Sand probe installed upstream of the choke manifold and sand trap to give early detection of reservoir/ formation sand and early sand history from sequential beam up of chokes in both oil and gas wells.

Installation of sensor either upstream or downstream of a choke manifold gives a qualitative and quantitative measure of the particle/ debris clean up.

Sand probe is installed alongside a sand trap upstream of the choke manifold to give early sand detection and also determine the potential of the reservoir to provide sand.

In deliverability test,Sand probe is installed downstream of the choke to measure sand production below the maximum acceptable limit for the achievable flow rate.

Co-production of the sand and oil below the maximum sand free rate for the increased production gain. Production may be cut down where sand production exceeds allowable limit of an average of 5-10pptb.
